The Tokyo Hire Taxi Association has revised the fares for the Tokyo Special Wards and Busan Transportation Area (Tokyo’s 23 wards/Musashino City/Mitaka City), and the new fares will go into effect on November 14.
The new fares will increase the starting fare from 420 yen to 500 yen for a typical standard car, the additional fare from 80 yen per 233 meters to 100 yen per 255 meters, and the combined time-distance fare from 80 yen per 1 minute and 25 seconds to 100 yen per 1 minute and 35 seconds.
This is the first fare increase since fiscal 2007.
