Recently, we have confirmed that several suspicious e-mails/SMS have been sent out, pretending to be from JICA officials, asking for fees and bank transfer information to receive aid money.
If you receive an e-mail or SMS claiming to be from a JICA official that you have no knowledge of the source or content, please do not open or click on any attachments or links, do not reply or forward the e-mail or SMS, and delete the e-mail or SMS entirely.
By opening attached files or links, there is a risk of virus infection, information theft, etc. In addition, by replying, there is a risk of being involved in crimes such as fraud or extortion.
