Significant easing of waterfront measures effective today, including removal of the daily cap on the number of visitors and lifting of the ban on individual travel and visa-free travel for foreigners.

The government will significantly ease waterfront measures starting at midnight on October 11.

In principle, all returnees and entrants will not be subject to inspection upon entry (unless they have symptoms of suspected infection with the new corona), and the maximum number of entrants per day will also be eliminated.

In addition, foreign visitors will be allowed to enter the country not only for tours but also for individual travel, and will be exempted from visa requirements.

However, all returnees and entrants will continue to be required to present proof of three doses of the vaccine or a negative test certificate from a test taken within 72 hours prior to departure from the country.
