The operation resumes on October 8 between Chigashira and Saijikyo Onsen. The remaining section is also under restoration.

Oigawa Railway will resume operation on October 8 between Sengou and Saijikyo Onsen stations on the Igawa Line. For the time being, the line will make five round trips a day (four round trips on weekends and holidays from December 12 to March 10, with the last round trip cancelled) with a turnaround in the same section.

The company’s lines were damaged by Typhoon No. 19 in late September, and operations have been suspended on all sections of both the Oigawa Main Line and the Igawa Line. The company has also announced the restoration status of the remaining sections of the line. The line between Kanaya Station and Ieyama Station is being restored with the aim of resuming operations in early December, and restoration work continues between Saijikyo Onsen Station and Igawa Station. The company is also discussing the restoration of the section between Ieyama and Chigashira with local governments and other related agencies along the line.
