Emergency Relief Aid for Long-Term Rainfall Damage in the Republic of Honduras – Supplies

In response to a request from the government of the Republic of Honduras, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will provide emergency relief supplies as follows.

Prolonged rainfall throughout Honduras since mid-September 2022 has caused extensive human and property damage in the affected areas.

Damage situation as of September 28 (presented by the Permanent Committee on Emergency Preparedness (COPECO))

Death toll: 12

Affected people 67,135

Missing: 8 people

Evacuees 15,826

Houses damaged: 1,902
