On September 28, American Express International renewed the “American Express Card” for the first time in 10 years, and began accepting applications for the “American Express Green Card” at 1:00 pm.
Instead of the conventional annual fee system, the new system is based on a monthly fee system, with a monthly fee of 1,100 yen (550 yen for a family card). This is the first card issued by the company in Japan to offer a monthly membership fee.
The “Green Offers” program offers discounts on services such as car rentals, food delivery, and bag and watch subscribe rentals. Menu, a food delivery company, Mercedes-Benz Rent, a car rental company, and Caritoke, a watch-subsk rental company, are participating in the program.
