The Tourism Expo Japan Promotion Office announced on September 26 the preliminary number of visitors to Tourism Expo Japan 2022, which was held at Tokyo Big Sight.

September 22, 2022 (industry day, cloudy with occasional rain): 18,500 people
September 22, 2022 (general day, thunderstorms): 40,000
September 22, 2022 (general day, sunny): 39,000 yen
Total: 122,000
Although the pre-event press conference had set a target of 150,000 visitors, the number fell short of the target due to a typhoon that hit the area during the show. Next year, the event will be moved to Osaka and held at INTEX Osaka from October 26 to 29.
