The Japan-China Exchange Festival 2022 Executive Committee will hold the “Japan-China Exchange Festival 2022” on September 24-25 (10:00-20:00 both days) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and China. The event will take place at the event plaza in Yoyogi Park (2-3 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).
The venue will feature about 40 booths, including a collection of Asian food and sweets from food stalls, mainly Chinese cuisine, and a corner showing the latest footage of the Ueno Zoo’s twin giant pandas, Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei.
Also appearing on stage will be Weiwei Wu, a Chinese artist who fuses the traditional instrument “erhu” with modern music, rock singer Samplaza Nakano-kun, and the Japanese-Chinese girl unit “Unsoo Shoujo. They will enliven the event with a variety of musical performances and talks.
In addition, on September 25 at 10:00 a.m., a free Tai Chi session will be held (first 100 participants). The location will be the main stage, and participants will receive a 100 yen discount coupon that can be used at food, beverage, and merchandise booths.
