“Play Atre Tsuchiura” to hold Bicycle event Ibaraki

Ibaraki K1 Ride 2022 This fun ride event challenges participants to complete a lap around Kasumigaura, the second largest lake in Japan. Participants will ride through the Kasumigaura area on Tsukuba Kasumigaura Rinrin Road (1-5-1 Kawaguchi, Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture), a nationally designated national cycle route, and enjoy local specialty foods at aid stations along the way. Date: October 16, 2022

Courses:.

95km course (1 lap around Kasumigaura)

55Km course (outward trip is cycling from Tsuchiura to Ushiori, return trip is back to Tsuchiura after boarding a cycruise)

36Km course (beginner course from Tsuchiura to Ayumizaki Park and back)

Participation Fee: $25.00

95km course Adults 6500 yen/ Junior high and high school students 4000 yen

55Km course Adults 7,000 yen/Junior high and high school students 5,000 yen

36Km course Adult 3,500 yen/Junior high school and high school students 2,500 yen

BIKE & CAMP KANTOU22 The inaugural event in October 2020 attracted 3,500 visitors over two days. In addition to test-riding the latest bicycles, there will also be a “travel festival” area with booths featuring miscellaneous goods, food, and clothing from around the world. Dates: November 19 and 20, 2022

Accommodation fee: Bicycle 3000 yen (solo only), Bike 3000 yen (solo only), Car (8000 yen tent up to 5 people), Hammock 2000 yen (tarp available)
