Narita International Airport announced the airport operations for May 2022. Passenger traffic on both international and domestic flights continued to recover, with the number of air passengers exceeding 1 million for the first time in two years and two months since March 2020.
Compared to the same month last year, international and domestic passenger volume was 513% and 245%, respectively. In addition, international cargo volume was 120% compared to the same month in 2019, the second highest value after the same month last year, when it reached a processing high.
